While flying a T-37 trainer aircraft out of İzmir Çiğli Air Base near Çandarlı, Capt. Kaya Özdengil and Capt. İlker Dinçer observed a metallic glowing disc position itself near their left wing. The craft maintained formation for 30 minutes and performed sharp, high-speed directional changes corroborated by radar interference at the control center.
